I need your help! Technology in Ministry

I am preparing for a brief presentation in January at a meeting of local ministers. The topic for the meeting is "Wired for Ministry". My specific portion is going to focus on teaching ministers how to utilize networking websites (MySpace, Facebook, and also blogging) to connect both with their members and with potential converts.

As a second part of my presentation, I am compiling a big list of websites that ministers would find useful. (I won't be going over these in a speech...this will be a supplementary handout for them to take home and possibly utilize on their own time.)

Is there a website that has been especially helpful to you as a Christian? It could be anything: Bible studies, time management tools, software downloads, sermon ideas, illustrations, etc.

If you have a suggestion or idea, please leave me a comment!

Thanks for your help!

  4. Okay, I use a lot of internet resources, so I'll try to narrow things down to the best.

Biblegateway - so many versions and search options - it's faster and easier than my bible software for most things.

Peacemaker Ministries - A great biblical view of conflict and conflict resolution. You won't use it every day, but when you need it, it's a great resource to have.

    Preaching:
    - not a Christian site, but it has some great ideas about presentations.

Stock Photos - I can't emphasize enough the need for good photos in presentations. Poor resolution and/or poorly taken photos will derail a PowerPoint in a second. here is a list of good resources for general photos. For pictures of biblical places go to (where else) .

    General/Information:

Barna.com - good for some up-to-date survey information.

Amazon.com - you would be surprised by the number of books that you can read online - if you just need a little bit from a book, don't buy it, read the part you need online.

    Productivity/Organization:
book Getting Things Done is an invaluable guide to making sense out of the chaos of life - the website has some gems that could revolutionize the way you work and play.
